How Too Fill Loobtoob.
These are basic written instructions on how to fill loobtoob with semi-solid materials.
For the most updated and detailed instructions please see our shared google doc this link!
- When working with certain materials gloves are recommended.
- Remove all Applicators, Adapters and Hoses.
- Loosen the backing nut completely.
- Pull the plunger out of the syringe.
- Clean components with a shop rag .
- The Syringe is ready to accept material.
Materials are stored in many ways which results in the following instructions.
Tube with Nozzle / Satchets / other self-dispensing storage
This is the best way to move material into a loobtoob because it is convenient and clean.
- Clip the nozzle so there is a 5-10mm opening depending on loobtoob size.
- Insert the nozzle from the tube of material directly into the syringe.
- There should be no air at the open end of the syringe.
- Install the plunger leaving no air between the plunger and the material.
- Clean with a shop rag and isopropyl alcohol if needed.
- Depress the plunger to purge the air from the nozzle end.
Tub / Vat / Tube w/o Nozzle
There are many ways to approach moving material like grease out of a tub, vat, or tube that has no nozzle. I have detailed the icing bag method below; you will need a spoon and plastic bag.
- Roll the sides of a plastic bag down so that you can access one of the corners.
- Unroll the sides of the plastic back and spin to force the material into the corner.
- You have now made an icing bag, this could be used over multiple refillings.
- Clip the end of the bag so there is a 5-10mm opening depending on loobtoob size.
- Insert the nozzle from the icing bag directly into the syringe.
- There should be no air at the open end of the syringe.
- Install the plunger leaving no air between the plunger and the material.
- Clean with a shop rag and isopropyl alcohol if needed.
- Depress the plunger to purge the air from the nozzle end.
This should cover most loobtoob filing questions in a written only format. There are better more detailed video instructions with tips on the way. Please read these and let me know if it helps!
